Colac Police Station
The new Colac police station is a two-level building in the heart of Colac.
Beginning with an excavation, an under-croft stolen vehicle storage section was created before continuing with the rest of the infrastructure. Following this, a ground floor spanning approximately 1280m2 was constructed, along with a 695m2 first level.
Moreover, CICG were tasked with the external construction of the station, including a new driveway and carpark, concrete paving, and landscaped outdoor areas. The building also featured a custodial link connection to the court house building adjacent, permitting safe transport of temporary detainees.
Throughout the entire construction period, CICG worked around the existing police station and other outbuildings. These were consequentially demolished, with the site suitably remediated, allowing for further expansion of the court facility planned at a later date.
