St Catherine’s Junior School
In the heart of Toorak, St Catherine’s tasked CICG to construct their new three-level junior school, with a gross floor area of 2,800m2.
The structure itself was made from a range of materials, including insitu concrete, pre-cast concrete, blockwork and structural steel. The façade was designed to be stylish and professional, built with face brickwork, rendered blockwork, metal cladding and feature screening. The building also needed a high level of accessibility, and as such included a bridge, linking St Catherine’s walkways and an external playground for the students to enjoy.
Prior to completion of the School’s construction, CICG proceeded to demolish the existing Junior School, and complete external landscaping works to finish off the site.
